Chaos Group

Chaos Group creates technology which helps artists, designers and filmmakers make photoreal imagery and animation. You’ve probably seen the results without realising it in the film ‘Captain America: Civil War’, or the ‘Game of Thrones’ TV series, or even in an early product design for the next Porsche concept vehicle.

This type of visualisation software is used in a broad range of industries, including architecture, design, film and animation, to make models created on a computer look like they would in the real world.

Chaos Group were working on mapping the visualisation market value chain, including host platforms, such as those offered by Autodesk and Nemetschek. Cambashi provided market size intelligence, based on platform provider revenues and country level spending from the Cambashi Country Observatory and the Cambashi Product Observatory. This information was instrumental for Chaos Group to develop a view of the size and trajectory of the visualisation market.

What brought Chaos Group to Cambashi was a brief market survey of possible data providers and several conversations with industry analysts. Iavor Trifonov, Chaos Group’s VP of Cloud & Integration Technologies, commented: “We knew that Cambashi is quoted by public companies such as Autodesk, which combined with recommendations from industry analysts gave us the confidence that it is a credible data source.”

“We were delighted by the personalized support we received from the Cambashi team during our analysis. It was fast and comprehensive, which was critical for meeting our project deadline.”

Chaos Group was able to develop a set of assumptions and metrics, specific to their needs, helping to analyse the market and develop greater confidence in their understanding of market dynamics and future opportunities.
